The fire dampers “mcr“, have been specially designed to compartment ducts that pass through different fire sectors as the existing regulations on fire protection require.
THE NEED TO COMPARTMENTALIZE
Nowadays, the passive fire protection is focused on the sectorisation of the building to prevent smoke, toxic gases and fire from being spread between different sub-sectors within the same building.
In order to guarantee the proper partitioning of the different fire sectors, it is essential to install fire dampers in the ducts and walls. We will use the model of fire damper that best meets the required needs.
TRIGGERING MECHANISM
Fire dampers have a wide variety of actuation options to meet customer needs.
The damper can be driven in three ways:
- By a thermal type actuator placed inside the valve, i. e. driven by temperature.
- By electromagnetic servomotor in case of power failure, 24 Vdc or 220 Vac.
- By the solenoid mechanism when the electric power is supplied, 24Vdc or 220Vac.
TYPES
mercor tecresa® dampers are available in several configurations: rectangular fire dampers, round fire dampers, multi-zone fire dampers, multizone fire dampers, multi-leaf fire dampers, fire dampers for ATEX certified explosion risk areas and fire valves. Fire dampers are made of different materials such as galvanized steel, stainless steel, etc…
